The John Handy Scholarship in Jazz Studies
In honor of his 75th birthday in 2008, John Handy, his family and friends, established The John Handy Scholarship in Jazz Studies at San Francisco State University, his alma mater. The scholarship is open to students majoring in jazz studies, including jazz performance, composing, and arranging.
